So this is Gabriella Cilmi’s comeback single… Almost, almost, almost a great song – if only they’d gone somewhere else in the middle 8..not suite sure the shouty bit works too well. Written with production team the Invisible Men (ex. of Orson) – who also wrote The Noisettes’ ‘Don’t Upset the Rhythm’..

Just as a comparison, here’s a bit of Joe Jackson and ‘Stepping Out’

Paper Romance!

Seeing as Groove Armada release their new album this week, I thought we’d have a bit of Paper Romance.. They did this track with Fenech Soler http://www.myspace.com/fenechsoler and St. Saviour http://www.myspace.com/oursaintsaviour - both great new artists.

This song creeps up on you until the chorus and just doesn’t let you go. I feel stupidly happy listening to this.

Fenech and GA will be playing at the Forum in Kentish Town, London Wednesday 3rd March 2010.. Awesome..
